We are currently looking for a saw operator to fill a permanent full-time position on the evening shift, Monday to Thursday.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WHEN JOINING THE TEAM

Under the supervision of the Fabrication Supervisor, cut metal using a hydraulic saw according to mechanical drawings and instructions.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Optimize cuts using plans indicating the shape, the dimensions, the lengths and the number of pieces to be cut
  • Verify that parts are available and determine those to be cut
  • Cut metal parts for assembly using hydraulic saw
  • Rigorously respect quality criteria, making the necessary verifications
  • Ensure the exactness of the cut according to the mechanical plans
  • Sand cut ends with various tools (band sander …)
  • Place cut parts in designated areas with crane or palette lift
  • Clean saws and work station, put away tools and instruments used
  • Inform Foreman of any problems that arise
  • Advise Foreman of any equipment maintenance
  • Unload delivery trucks with crane and store metal in designated areas
  • Is aware and careful of safety of self and others (health & safety)
