As a remote position, the Mental Health Counselor will work effectively from home, utilizing virtual platforms to connect with clients. The scheduled hours will be primarily Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, with occasional evening or weekend hours as required to accommodate client needs. This flexibility allows you to manage your professional and personal life while making a meaningful impact in the mental health field.

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to accurately identify clients’ mental health needs and develop individualized care strategies.
• Designing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to meet specific client goals, such as coping with anxiety, depression, or trauma.
• Facilitating one-on-one counseling sessions, as well as providing group therapy to foster peer connections and shared experiences.
• Engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration with medical professionals, case managers, and community organizations to provide a holistic approach to client care.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation of client progress and treatment plans following all legal and ethical guidelines to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
• Participating in ongoing professional development, including supervision sessions and case conferences, to enhance your therapeutic skills and industry knowledge.

• A valid and active license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.
• A Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• Strong proficiency in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to specific psychological disorders.
• Exceptional ability to establish rapport and maintain effective communication with clients from diverse backgrounds.
