Work Environment

As a remote-based therapist, you will deliver services through our telehealth platform, which allows you to connect with clients in the comfort of their own spaces. You will engage with clients through both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a range of technological tools to facilitate effective remote communication and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand each client’s unique needs and formulate individualized treatment plans accordingly.
• Provide psychotherapy in individual and group settings, employing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Assist clients dealing with conditions such as PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, and other behavioral health challenges by offering evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with organizational and state regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including social workers and psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive care for clients when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client base will consist of diverse individuals seeking assistance with a variety of mental health concerns. You will work with adults from various backgrounds, encompassing a range of ages, ethnicities, and socio-economic statuses. The telehealth model allows you to reach underserved populations who may otherwise have limited access to mental health services.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• An active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in therapy and case management is essential.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail, are necessary for maintaining high standards of care.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), and Motivational Interviewing is highly advantageous.
• Experience providing therapy in a remote setting, which demonstrates your adaptability and proficiency in using online platforms for client engagement, will be considered a plus.
• Knowledge of and experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in psychology or social work settings allows for a comprehensive therapeutic approach.
