A private family relocating from Charleston to New York City is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and professional Nanny to provide attentive care for their infant. The family currently has a four-month-old child and is looking for a dedicated childcare professional who can support the child's development while helping maintain a calm, organized, and positive environment.

The ideal candidate is warm, intuitive, and easygoing, with the ability to read the room and adapt naturally to the family's needs and routines. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys working independently, takes initiative, and brings a thoughtful, developmentally focused approach to infant care.

The family is seeking approximately 25 hours per week to start, with flexibility for additional hours and occasional evening babysitting support. This position offers the opportunity to become a long-term, trusted member of the family's support team as they establish their new home in New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, nurturing care for an infant throughout the day
  • Support age-appropriate developmental milestones and activities
  • Maintain consistent routines related to feeding, naps, and daily care
  • Prepare simple baby meals and baby food as age-appropriate
  • Handle children's laundry and maintain organization of nursery and baby-related items
  • Assist with light child-related housekeeping and tidying

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of professional childcare experience
  • Prior experience caring for infants and young children

Compensation

  • $40-$50 per hour, commensurate with experience
