Propulsion Controls Engineering has an opening for a Marine Electrician Journeyman I - V, with a minimum of six years ship repair experience; supporting our San Diego, CA location. PCE is a full service electro-mechanical repair and diesel repair contractor. PCE has garnered a wealth of extensive experience in successfully executing major system overhauls across numerous ports throughout the world on virtually every class of ship currently in operation.

Marine Electrician Journeyman Job Summary:

Install, repair and connect equipment for all electrical services on the ship without Supervision. Lay out, pull, lift and install cables and conduits without Supervision. Prepare work area, drill holes, grind metal surfaces, and mount equipment with minimal Supervision. Test electrical equipment in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Items without Supervision. Perform other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position.

Job Requirements and Experience:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
  • Associates Degree or Technical Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of marine and/or shipyard experience.
  • Ability to obtain / maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.

This position may require access to U.S. government or military sites.
