Evening No Experience Software Developer information

What types of projects or tasks are typically assigned to evening no experience software developers?

Entry-level software developers on evening shifts often start with tasks like debugging, writing simple code modules, updating documentation, and assisting with software testing. These assignments are designed to help new developers become familiar with the codebase and development processes while working closely with more experienced team members. Evening teams may also handle support tickets or maintenance work that requires timely attention after regular business hours. This structure allows for both learning opportunities and valuable contributions to ongoing projects.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an evening no experience software developer?

To thrive as an Evening No Experience Software Developer, you need a basic understanding of programming concepts, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn, which can often be demonstrated through self-study or coding bootcamps rather than formal degrees. Familiarity with beginner-friendly languages like Python or JavaScript and version control systems such as Git is typically helpful, even if acquired through online courses. Strong communication, adaptability, and self-motivation are crucial soft skills for succeeding in remote or flexible evening roles. These skills and qualities enable new developers to quickly build competence, collaborate effectively, and contribute to projects despite a non-traditional schedule or entry-level status.

Our flagship software product, DVR Examiner, has revolutionized the process of recovering video evidence from surveillance DVRs and is used by hundreds of federal, state, local and international law enforcement agencies. Our team is fortunate to be able to make a difference within communities around the world by assisting these agencies in recovering valuable evidence of significant incidents.

This role would suit someone who enjoys creating a great visual and workflow experience for end-users and refining code into a developer-friendly finished product.
Salary range ($55,000 to $155,000) reflects Junior to Senior positions. The position and salary offered will depend on your experience.
