Peace Marriage and Family Therapy Services is actively recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a remote capacity. Work Environment

This role is fully remote, enabling therapists to connect with clients in a flexible setting while balancing personal and professional commitments. Utilizing secure telehealth platforms, you will engage with clients from the comfort of their own homes. Our outpatient service model ensures that therapists remain embedded in a multi-disciplinary team that may include psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers focused on comprehensive client care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized counseling and crisis intervention services, assessing and treating emotional and behavioral challenges presented by clients.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations to tailor therapeutic approaches effectively; this includes using evidence-based methodologies to inform diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing a range of therapeutic techniques to meet each clientโ€™s unique needs and enhance relational dynamics.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, offering follow-up sessions to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments in the therapeutic approach.
  • Actively collaborate with other professionals within the multi-disciplinary team, sharing insights and resources to improve overall client treatment outcomes.
  • Document treatment sessions and client progress meticulously, ensuring all records comply with privacy regulations and organizational policies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with individuals and families experiencing substance abuse and related mental health disorders. This role allows for the integration of relational dynamics into treatment styles, focusing on enhancing communication, understanding, and support systems among clients and their families.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of theoretical approaches to therapy.
  • Active and unrestricted license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state where you reside.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on clinical experience working with diverse populations in therapeutic settings, including substance abuse and mental health.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention techniques, psychosocial assessments, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Deep knowledge of individual and family development across various life stages, allowing for informed and adaptive treatment strategies.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience utilizing telehealth platforms effectively for therapy services.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, and motivational interviewing.
  • Background in developing community-based resources and support networks for clients in treatment.
