The Service Professional (Janitorial) plays a critical role in maintaining cleanliness, disinfection, and overall appearance of commercial properties across the United States. This position ensures that all assigned areas are cleaned to the highest standards, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for occupants and visitors. The role involves the use of various cleaning tools and chemicals, requiring adherence to safety protocols and attention to detail. The Service Professional will work independently or as part of a team to complete daily cleaning schedules efficiently and effectively. Essential Functions

  • Maintain building security and safety by securing office and building entrances in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitor facilities for unauthorized occupants and report any security concerns to management. Turn off lights and set alarms as required.
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain restrooms, including replenishing soap, paper products, and other restroom supplies.
  • Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash and waste materials.
  • Clean and maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and other appropriate cleaning methods.
  • Follow established safety procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and powered equipment. Safely operate all job-related tools and equipment.
  • Notify management of maintenance issues, needed repairs, or required additions to building systems and facilities.
  • Monitor inventory levels and request cleaning supplies and equipment as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Clean blinds, interior and exterior glass surfaces, entrance windows, partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment.
  • Clean and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Dust and wipe furniture, walls, equipment, machinery, and other surfaces.
  • Empty and clean ash receptacles, where applicable.
  • Collect, sort, and properly handle recyclable materials in accordance with company procedures.
  • In medical facilities, safely handle, transport, and dispose of biohazardous waste in compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
