Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab position requiring STEMI experience and proficiency with balloon pumps and Impella devices, with a FL or compact RN license required.

Details
  • Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
  • Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations for adult patients
  • Includes left and right heart catheterizations and Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
  • Administers and monitors procedural sedation
  • Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 to 17:30
  • On-call requirement for evenings and weekends
  • Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
  • Accepts local candidates at the same bill rate
Requirements
  • Active FL or compact RN license required at time of submission
  • Current AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Minimum 18 months of recent RN experience required, 2 years preferred
  • Proficiency with balloon pump, Impella, atherectomy devices, cardiac medication drips, and emergency medications required
  • STEMI experience required
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias skills required
  • One professional reference from a direct supervisor, ANM, or director in the specialty required
  • No pending licenses or certifications accepted
Additional Information
  • Provides direct patient care in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • EKG and pharmacology testing required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each and no remediation
  • Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be completed promptly once confirmed for the assignment
  • Travelers expected to work every other holiday
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccines required with medical or religious exemptions only
  • Smoke-free facility with a strict no call-in policy
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Permanent or per diem staff cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
  • All RTO must be submitted and discussed at time of interview/submission
