Travel RN opportunity in Hagerstown, Maryland for an experienced Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse. Join a fast-paced inpatient nursing team providing high-acuity cardiac care in a Cardiac Stepdown and IMC float pool setting. This travel nursing job is ideal for a skilled RN with telemetry, progressive care, and stepdown experience who enjoys working with adult and geriatric patients across Med/Surg Tele and IMC/PCU units.

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Duration: 20 weeks
• Start Date: August 31, 2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950 - $2,060
• Orientation: Includes onboarding and unit-specific preparation
• Weekend Coverage: Required

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience in a hospital setting
• Minimum 2 years of recent IMC, PCU, or Stepdown experience in a hospital setting
• Recent Epic charting experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Comfortable managing patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays as scheduled
• Must be comfortable floating between Med/Surg, Telemetry, and IMC units
• Flu vaccination and 2-step PPD required
• COVID-19 vaccination required

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac and medical needs
• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients with CHF, MI, unstable angina, stroke, septic shock, respiratory distress, and trauma-related diagnoses
• Manage cardiac drips, insulin protocols, and vasoactive therapies per unit practice
• Support patients requiring trach/vent management, blood transfusions, TPN, feeding tubes, and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Provide skilled nursing care for chest tubes, central lines, PICCs, NG tubes, and other specialty devices
• Float across Med/Surg, Telemetry, Stepdown, and IMC assignments based on patient needs and staffing support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow all safety and infection prevention standards

• Work in a collaborative inpatient nursing environment with varied clinical exposure
• Gain valuable experience in cardiac stepdown, progressive care, and telemetry nursing
• Enjoy a travel nursing assignment in western Maryland with a strong community feel
