The Team:

Upstart's Home Lending Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Management team plays a critical role in enabling the growth and stability of our Home Lending business. We work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Product, Legal, Risk, and Compliance to ensure that Upstart's home lending activities meet regulatory standards and align with best practices. They will help ensure our data pipelines, reconciliations, dashboards, and analytical packages are accurate, timely, and exam-ready, while partnering cross-functionally with compliance, risk, operations, and business teams in a highly regulated lending environment

How you'll make an impact

  • Own first-line secured lending data and reporting support, including regulatory reporting inputs, data integrity, reconciliations, and timely loan-level reporting
  • Lead regulatory and risk reporting for home lending, including filing our HMDA LAR, mapping Call Report feeds, tracking CRA activity, and performing loan-level quality checks on data used for fair lending and compliance testing
  • Produce risk dashboards and management reporting across portfolio, channel, geography, delinquency, vintage, concentration, and product performance
  • Maintain core data pipelines, controls, and aggregation capabilities supporting reliable product- and portfolio-level reporting
  • Provide reporting for product risk oversight, including channel, underwriting, pricing, override, and exception reporting
  • Support exams, committees, and business continuity planning through data extracts, analytical packages, reporting materials, and recovery-planning inputs
  •

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of mortgage lending operations and regulatory data requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with loan origination, compliance, or data reporting systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience preparing HMDA LAR, CRA data, and Call Report submissions.
  • Familiarity with fair lending, mortgage compliance, or consumer lending compliance.
  • Experience supporting regulatory exams, audits, or compliance testing.
