Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bilingual Onsite Monitor (English/Spanish) to support operations at a busy assembly plant in Matteson, IL. This role works closely with management to help assign, track, and properly place workers while ensuring clear communication between English- and Spanish-speaking employees.
Schedule Options
- Thursday - Monday
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Evening Shift: 3:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break
Key Responsibilities
- Assist management with assigning and placing workers on the production floor
- Translate instructions and communicate effectively in both English and Spanish
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and shift coverage
- Ensure employees are in correct work areas and following assignments
- Communicate staffing needs, shortages, or issues to supervisors
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of worker assignments
- Support onboarding and orientation of new hires
- Promote a safe, organized, and productive work environment
- Act as liaison between workforce and management
Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (required)
- Previous experience in staffing, warehouse, manufacturing, or coordination preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills (data entry, tracking)
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Work Environment
- Assembly/production plant setting
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Frequent interaction with large teams of employees
