Dog Bather/ Trimmer in Training

$11 to $13 per hour plus tips (averaging $5 per hour)
Tips historically average about $5 per hour, resulting in expected pay of $16 to $18 per hour including tip pool.

Candidate must have experience working with dogs as a job. Ideal candidate also wants to be trained to become a full or part-time trimmer. We are willing to invest in training those candidates who desire growth.

About the Position

The Dog Bather is a fundamental position at Scenthound, offering high quality, quick, and efficient services that meet Scenthound standards. This position requires:

  • Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time
  • Reliable transportation

  • Previous paid work with dogs

We are searching for a detail-oriented team member who has a passion for keeping dogs clean and healthy! A successful Dog Bather/Trimmer in Training is resilient, perceptive, patient, adaptable, anxious for personal growth and a compassionate dog lover!
We are looking for a motived team member who wants to advance their career through our training path to become a Scenthound Trimmer!

With plans for multiple locations in Cherokee County, this role will work at our currently open locations in Holly Springs and Woodstock.

Tasks

  • Ensure safety of dogs and team members at all times
  • Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices
  • Clean and prep dogs for grooming
  • Bathe, blow dry, clip / grind nails, clean ears, brush coat, clean teeth, express glands
  • Identify dog’s health indicators and input them into a S.C.E.N.T. Check app
  • Work on a team to complete the care ordered
  • Assist others / Ask others for assistance when needed to keep Scenter on schedule
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager
