Job description

Position Summary: This position will be responsible for a variety of professional and personal administrative tasks for Golf Division clients, including providing logistical and travel support and assisting with daily requests, as well as supporting divisional operational and client-related matters. This role can be based in either Excel's New York or West Hollywood offices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists Marketing Managers and Agents with client management support, to include:
    • Tournament and professional travel (airline, hotel, ground transport, visas, etc.);
    • Concierge requests (reservations, personal needs, family needs, etc.);
    • Social media support; and
    • Logistics for personal service appearances, sponsor commitments and activations, charity events, media interviews, etc.
  • Proactively addresses potential requests and needs from clients and provides creative and personalized solutions;
  • Interfaces as needed with client families and performance teams (caddies, coaches, trainers, physios, etc.);
  • Develops strategic relationships in key concierge areas, PGA Tour and European Tour travel, etc.;
  • Responds to fan mail, charitable requests, and general inquiries, as directed;
  • Contributes to development of Golf Division marketing materials and recruiting presentations;
  • Secures and ships products for clients' professional, personal, and charitable needs and tracks those products to ensure receipt;
  • Assists in ensuring client collateral (e.g., bios and press kits) is up to date and accurately portrayed internally and externally;
  • Assists Golf Division with organizational needs, including, as required, scheduling meetings and supporting Executives with ad hoc administrative support;
  • Records and distributes thorough minutes of Golf Division meetings;
  • Serves as a positive culture contributor within a fast-growing, high-paced, and entrepreneurial environment; and
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; and
  • 1-2 years experience in sports industry or sports marketing required.
  • Interest in golf preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Basic proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat Pro preferred;
  • Superior problem-solving skills and resourcefulness;
  • Superior time-management and organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects, simultaneously;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate to a wide range of audiences, both written and verbally;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to remain composed in pressure-filled situations;
  • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance;
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision;

  • Comfort adjusting personal schedule to accommodate client and Golf Division needs, including frequent and time-sensitive work outside of business hours;

The pay range for this position is: $55,000- $60,000 annually, based on experience. This is a Non-exempt position. Employees are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over applicable legal thresholds. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.
