Job description

UNIV - Adolescent Pediatrician - Pediatrics: Adolescent-1

The Dr. Charles P. Darby Jr. Department of Pediatrics is recruiting for a board eligible/board certified Adolescent Medicine Physician. The Adolescent Medicine Physician will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive specialty care for patients referred to the Division of Adolescent Medicine and the MUSC Health Center for Eating Disorders. Additionally, will work with current staff of the Foster Care Support Clinic (including two APRNs) to provide comprehensive primary care and behavioral health to adolescents in foster care. Will also be responsible for assessing patients with problems including behavioral health concerns (anxiety, depression, aggression, ADHD, eating disorders) and adolescent gynecological complaints and providing management and follow up care, and will foster cooperative relationships with other providers and referring agencies involved in caring for these patients. Occasional evening clinical hours maybe required.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Board Certified or Eligible by the ABP
  • Commitment to MUSC's educational missions
  • Eligible for licensure in South Carolina
  • Strong interest in working with both typical as well as medically complex children
