We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Setup Technician / CNC Machinist to join our high‑performance manufacturing team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality & Safety Compliance — Adhere to all quality and safety codes throughout machining operations.
  • Machine Condition — Maintain CNC machinery to ensure proper operation.
  • CNC Programming — Create CNC programs for fabrication and machining.
  • Production Control — Operate machines and processes to meet production requirements.
  • Machine Operation — Run CNC lathes, mills, gear grinders, and hand/power tools.
  • Independent Setup — Set up 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis CNC machines with accuracy and efficiency.
  • GD&T Interpretation — Read and interpret GD&T, blueprints, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Tooling & Strategy — Select tooling, determine speeds/feeds, and establish machining strategies.
  • Precision Measurement — Use micrometers, comparators, and gauges to verify part quality.
  • Troubleshooting — Diagnose machining issues and optimize processes.
  • Team Collaboration — Work with team members to maintain workflow and meet production goals.
  • Workplace Organization — Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work environment.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum 3 years of independent CNC machine setup experience.
  • Strong proficiency in GD&T, blueprint reading, and mechanical drawings.
  • Skilled in operating CNC machinery, tooling, and precision measurement tools.
  • Experience with CNC turning, milling, grinding, and gear‑shaping equipment.
  • Background in a machine shop environment.
  • Ability to perform emergency/unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance.
  • Knowledge of fixtures, tooling, and general maintenance processes.
