Phase 1: Process Development & Machine Implementation (First 200 Hours)
Initial phase requires full-time engagement until completion of the following:
  • Engineering Responsibilities
  • 3D part modeling
  • CNC part programming
  • Chuck jaw design and programming
  • Fusion 360 customizations for angled operations
  • Tooling requirement identification and documentation
  • Define tolerances for “clearance fit” and “free fit” keyways
  • On-Site Operations
  • Tool assembly into turret
  • Tool and work offset setup
  • Cutting tool and part clearance verification
  • Coolant delivery optimization
  • Machining of up to two sets of jaws per part number
  • Part prove-out and dial-in
  • Cutting parameter optimization (speeds/feeds)
  • Tool life establishment
  • Process training for Shop Manager
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Tooling selection and installation
  • Determine need for turret adapters
  • Execute full turn-key CNC process from machine delivery
  • Successfully prove out at least five standard stock items
Phase 2: Production Programming & Documentation (Remaining 280 Hours)
  • Programming & Modeling
  • Model standard stock items
  • Develop CNC programs for all modeled parts
  • Process Documentation
  • Create comprehensive process sheets for all part numbers, including:
  • Part number and description
  • Machine and tooling requirements
  • Workholding details (chucks, jaws, fixtures)
  • CNC program identifiers (file names/numbers)
  • Tool lists with offsets and descriptions
  • Speeds and feeds
  • Step-by-step setup instructions
  • Inspection requirements and critical dimensions
  • Operator notes (safety, coolant type, special handling)
Equipment & Software
  • CNC Machine: DN Solutions LYNX 2600M
  • CAD/CAM Software: Fusion 360 (standard or Fusion for Design, as recommended)
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in CNC programming and machining (turning/milling)
  • Strong proficiency in Fusion 360 or similar CAD/CAM software
  • Experience with process development and turnkey manufacturing solutions
  • Ability to work hands-on with machine setup and optimization
  • Strong documentation and training skills
