Job description

CR Fletcher is seeking a dependable Custodial Supervisor for a Syracuse based community to oversee the facility's evening operations. This full-time position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will lead the evening custodial and maintenance team while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members, guests, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the evening custodial and maintenance staff to ensure daily assignments are completed efficiently and to established standards.
  • Provide hands-on support by assisting team members with cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Inspect work areas regularly to verify quality, safety, and completion of assigned duties.
  • Clean and maintain floors using sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping techniques, including stairwells.
  • Sanitize restrooms and replenish necessary supplies.
  • Dust furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and other facility equipment.
  • Clean interior windows, walls, whiteboards, sinks, and additional building surfaces.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated collection areas.
  • Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, entrances, and walkways when necessary to maintain safe access.
  • Receive and deliver packages throughout the facility.
  • Set up and break down tables, chairs, and equipment for events, programs, and community activities.
  • Respond to additional custodial or facility maintenance needs as assigned.
  • Monitor employee performance, provide guidance, and ensure all work is completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.
