Reports to: Head Custodian
Department: Custodial
Works with: Teachers, students, parents
Job Summary: The cleaner performs general cleaning to provide pleasant surrounds for staff and students.
Monday through Friday, 5 hours per night after 3 PM, flexible start time.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  2. Cleans assigned area.
  3. Floors-vacuums, mops, and scrubs.
  4. Bathrooms-clean and scrub daily.
  5. Walls and Boards-Clean and scrub as needed.
  6. Clean Desks and Furniture.
  7. Windows Exterior-Room and Building exterior, clean as needed.
  8. Empty garbage.
  9. Assists parents and other visitors to school buildings with special events and programs.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with school personnel, students, parents and members of the community.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

Physical Job Requirements:
  • Employee is continuously required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel, talk, and hear; frequently sits, stoops, kneels and/or crouches, reach with hands and arms in the performance of the job. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally; and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
