Job description

We are recognized as an ENR Top 100 CM/PM firm for our commitment to quality and innovation. We are currently seeking a dedicated Construction Manager for Federal Sector projects to join our team.

Our Construction Manager position is critical in determining project success on-site and is for individuals who want to continue developing their careers in an Owner's Representative / CM role that supports for a greater work-life balance. 

This role involves overseeing construction projects within the federal sector, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing schedules and budgets, coordinating with stakeholders (architects, engineers, general contractors, owners, etc.), and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have experience managing construction projects, particularly within public and federal environments.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Planning, or related field.
  • 6+ years of on-site construction management experience with renovations, MEP/HVAC upgrades, fit-outs, and window or lighting replacement projects.
  • Experience working in occupied, operational buildings and complex environments such as public agencies, hospitals, universities, or government facilities.
  • Strong field experience, including high-rise buildings and exterior cladding work preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage client communication, project logistics, budgets, schedules, and change proposals.
  • Proficient in construction management software including Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, Kahua, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to review design documents, construction submittals, cost estimates, and quality assurance processes.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to support a mixture of evening and daytime work (full-time on-site).
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Lead construction management and owner's representative services across renovation and MEP upgrade projects.
  • Manage on-site construction activities including mobilization, fit-out, commissioning, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and government stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Review project schedules, budgets, construction documents, and contractor submittals for compliance and accuracy.
  • Monitor field operations for adherence to drawings, safety standards, security requirements, and building codes.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including meeting minutes, field reports, and status updates.
  • Track project progress, identify issues, and communicate solutions effectively to project teams and clients.
  • Support cost management efforts including estimating, cost verification, and change order negotiations.
