RN Cardiac Device - Cardiology Office

Summary:
Provides professional nursing care for office patients by following Summa's established standards and practices for cardiology. Evaluates and manages patients with cardiac rhythm disorders and selected cardiovascular diseases. The RN must be able to demonstrate the professional nursing skills to evaluate patients with arrhythmias and the technical skills to evaluate patients with cardiac rhythm management devices.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education Required:
a. Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required, BSN preferred
b. Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
c. Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio
d. Certification by IBHRE as a certified Cardiac Device Specialists (CCDS) preferred
Experience & Training Required:
-Five (5) years experiences as an RN and two (2) years in pacing & electrophysiology including device follow-up
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
-Acquires, maintains and integrates knowledge of scientific principles, and derived technology-based interventions and therapies in cardiac pacing, defibrillation, and electrophysiology.
-Technical Knowledge and clinical skills to assist in the care of patients with heart rhythm disorders.
-Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
