Job Description
Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension. Administer prescribed medications in accordance with approved nursing techniques. Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient. Observe patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or Physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents. Monitors vital signs during local procedures to detect deviations and notifies physician. Respond to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol. Documents nursing assessment of patients. Rotates among various services such as General, ENT, Orthopedics, GYN, Urology, and Ophthalmology. Prepares rooms, sterile instruments and supplies, and equipment for surgery. Circulates and/or scrubs during surgical procedures. Maintain adequate supplies for cases and checking for expired items.

Requirements
This position will be full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 hour shift, but hours may vary depending on schedule for the day. This position is license and BLS required.
