They will assist the head coach with the overall operation and recruiting of the NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball program. This person will assist the head coach with recruiting, student retention, and the operation and administration of the Men's Basketball program.This position reports directly to the Head Men's Basketball Coach and to the Director of Athletics and works hours approved by the Director of Athletics and as needed to meet athletic programming and department schedulerequirements. Weekend and evening hours are required, as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree (Master's degree is preferred) in Physical Education, Sports Management, Recreation, or a related field is required.Experience coaching soccer and/or athletic administration, preferably at the collegiate level, is required.A valid NYS Driver's LicenseProficiency using MS Office software.Ability to communicate effectively with students, athletes, staff, faculty, alumni, administrators, and parents.Ability to inspire achievement and leadership among students, athletes, and staff.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist the Head Men's Basketball Coach with various athletic aspects of the program including but not limited to practices, strength and conditioning, player development, and player exposure.Assist the Head Men's Basketball Coach with numerous administrative aspects of the program including but not limited to recruiting and student-retention, academic checks and monitoring, fundraising, and practice/game scheduling.Perform other duties as assigned.Salary:This is a part-time, annual appointment with an annual stipend of $4,000.00.
