Job description

Position Summary

605 Sires + Donors is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Client Service Representative to support and grow our bovine reproductive services business. This role combines technical expertise in bovine genetics and reproduction with consultative sales, customer relationship management, and business development. The ideal candidate will build lasting partnerships with dairy and beef producers, veterinarians, breeding organizations, and industry stakeholders while promoting advanced reproductive technologies that improve herd genetics, reproductive performance, and producer profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Business Development & Sales

  • Develop and execute strategic territory sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with dairy and beef producers, breeding companies, veterinarians, livestock cooperatives, and other industry partners.
  • Promote the company's bovine reproductive services
  • Present customized breeding solutions based on each customer's production goals and herd objectives.
  • Communicate the economic and genetic value of advanced reproductive technologies to current and prospective clients.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, satellite centers, veterinarians, and key industry influencers.
  • Conduct regular farm visits to evaluate herd performance and understand customer breeding goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to questions, resolving concerns, and coordinating technical support as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.

Technical Consultation

  • Educate producers on reproductive management practices, including Estrus synchronization protocols, Donor and recipient selection, Semen selection, Embryo transfer procedures, Genetic selection strategies
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, embryologists, laboratory personnel, and field technicians to maximize reproductive success.
  • Explain IVF procedures, expected outcomes, and reproductive program recommendations.

Genetics & Bull Stud Sales

  • Market semen from proven and genomic sires.
  • Interpret genetic evaluations, including Estimated Breeding Values (EBVs), Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs), genomic indexes, pedigrees, and other genetic performance data.
  • Assist producers in selecting sires based on a criteria that will help producers reach their goals.

Program Coordination

  • Schedule donor aspirations, IVF sessions, embryo transfers, and semen deliveries.
  • Coordinate services between customers, laboratory staff, veterinarians, logistics personnel, and field technicians.
  • Ensure timely and accurate service delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction.


Sales Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate customer records using CRM software.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, activity reports, market analyses, and pipeline updates.
  • Monitor customer orders, inventory, and product availability.
  • Track competitor products, pricing, and industry developments.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and recommend growth strategies.


Working Conditions

  • Frequent travel to farms, breeding facilities, satellite centers, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work based on customer needs and industry schedules.
  • Exposure to livestock environments requiring adherence to company biosecurity and safety protocols.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agricultural Business, Dairy Science, Animal Reproduction, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Knowledge of bovine reproduction, genetics, and dairy and beef production systems.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.


Preferred

  • Previous experience in bovine IVF, embryo transfer, artificial insemination, genetics, or animal health sales.
  • Experience working with dairy or beef producers.
  • Familiarity with reproductive technologies and genetic evaluation systems.
