Job description

Note: This is a contractor position for Eva's sister company - Ethique Beauty.
Ethique Beauty makes clean, concentrated beauty products, including our best-selling shampoo bars and conditioner bars that are effective, clean, and ethical. We are a future-forward organization that believes you can have amazing products that are good for you and good for the environment.
We're a scrappy group of beauty lovers who believe that Ethique is on the cusp of becoming the next big thing, and we're looking for someone with experience in a fast-growing consumer brand who is ready to take our consumer engagement to the next level.
Ethique operates in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with an American presence in Ulta, Target, Whole Foods, Amazon, and Ethique.com. We are certified B Corp and Best Place to Work.
Job Overview:
If you're someone who gets excited about building a brand from the ground floor where your ideas get tested and executed, then let's talk! In a nutshell, this job is to own how Ethique shows up in the world: Social media, finding and working with creators, building relationships in communities that care about beauty and sustainability, pulling together partnerships that make sense, activating scrappy events to build brand love. It's the kind of role where you're thinking strategically about a quarterly content strategy one day and finding a UGC creator in a niche community the next.
Location: Remote
Pay: $40-$47 an hour
Responsibilities:
Social: Own the strategy and the day-to-day. Content calendar, content briefing and sourcing (including UGC creator sourcing), posting, community management. Bonus for experience capturing content yourself!
Creators: Own the influencer strategy. Find nano and micro creators we should work with, coordinate gifting, and manage relationships. Bonus for experience with affiliate creators across TikTok Shop, Amazon Creators, LTK or Shop My.
Partnerships & Community: Hang out in Reddit threads, Facebook groups, etc (wherever people are actually talking about what we make and care about) and be the person representing Ethique in a way that feels helpful, not like a brand trying to sell something.
Partnerships & Activations: Spot opportunities for collabs, events, sampling, etc. and manage end to end.
Team leadership: Manage and motivate an outsourced coordinator to help admin across the role
Requirements:
- ~5 years of post-school experience in marketing, community management, content, creator relations, or something adjacent
-Experience planning and executing across both Instagram and TikTok
- Experience sourcing creators or managing UGC
- Track record of building communities or managing social presence at any scale
- Comfortable with ambiguity and testing things that might not work
- Kind and good-tempered (we're a small team and we work together closely)
- Excited about the ground-floor opportunity to build a brand that compounds over time
- Comfortable being scrappy and strategic in the same day
- Genuine passion for and/or background in beauty, sustainability, and/or outdoor lifestyle
Ready to apply?
Please click the link that will bring you to our careers page. Submit your resume and a member of our team will be in touch as soon as they have had a chance to review. Please be prepared to tell us: 1) why you care about Ethique and why this role appeals to you and 2) work you're proud of - social content you built, a community you managed, UGC you sourced, etc
Ethique is building a team that reflects the communities we serve. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
