We are currently looking for a Director National & European Accounts to be based out of Oudenaarde, reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director.

What you’ll do:
  • Your strong negotiation skills ensure that every chosen approach is a win-win for both the client and Atkore, focusing on a strong elaboration of Customers and Distributors in all segments.
  • Communicating with clients holds no secrets for you, more so, your communication skills combined with your professional network within the industry enable you to build lasting relationships. You are eager to learn and enjoy immersing yourself in the opportunities and threats your clients face in their sector.
  • Your strong communication skills will ensure alignment between National Accounts and European Accounts and will encourage Account Managers to collaborate and maximize our Atkore market strategy.
  • Your solid cooperation with Customer Service will result in a strong Customer experience and loyalty. Larger or complicated projects, complicated and specific price calculations will be handled in full alignment.
  • You can take customers along with you on innovative developments and know how to turn them into sales results. Customers, prospects, construction sites, larger offers, you will have an overview and stay in close contact.
  • Participating in technical fairs will entitle you to get in contact with both new and existing
  • Customers. With known and new to experience markets.
  • You will be well aware of existing technology and its evolution, of competitors and important market developments. You will carefully register and share this knowledge with the Sales & Marketing Director, your colleague Segment Sales Manager and Customer Service.
  • Your strong leadership skills will entitle you to engage your team of National Account Sales Managers, Key Account Sales Managers, Project Sales Managers and Project Development Manager. You will guide and assist them in using a strong sales budget (build in cooperation with your Sales & Marketing Director), solid visit reports, correct price lists. You will be focusing on performance conversations and coaching, enabling your team to show only the best of themselves.
What you’ll bring:
  • Industry and preferably electrical engineering and/or the mechanical side of electrical engineering holds no secrets for you.
  • You have a solid network within the industry.
  • You have a relevant education at Batchelor level and solid 10 years of experience in a similar function within the industrial sector.
  • You are fluent in Dutch, English, French (German is an added value).

Within 3 months, you’ll:
  • Complete your Atkore immersion program.
  • Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore’s strategy.
  • Gain an understanding of our products through training and customer feedback/experience
  • Deep dive into geographical client possibilities
Within 6 months, you’ll:
  • Update client portfolio regarding all brands .
  • Partner with your team and colleague Segment sales manager to deep dive into our business and to empower cross functional sales.
  • Identify ways to strengthen customer relationships to Atkore’s core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence.
Within 12 months, you’ll:
  • You will become the face within the market and have the opportunity to further put Atkore on the map, this within a team where collaboration is key. Working together not only towards support, your input counts! Your input regarding new products and developments is crucial and extremely valuable.
  • Manage an efficient Team that is aligned and engaged and understands expectations and strategies.
  • Have meaningful solution orientated conversations with your clients keeping all brands in mind.
  • Be able to resolve any client issues and expand geographical growth.
