Job Description Lead ETL Data Engineer (.NET / SQL) Location: Charlotte, NC Hybrid (3 days onsite, Monday-Thursday required) Duration: 12-Month Contract Pay: $70-$86 per hour Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Lead ETL Data Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a seasoned data engineering professional with strong expertise in SQL, ETL development, data integration, and .NET technologies. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data solutions that ensure data accuracy, quality, and availability across the organization

This position requires an individual who can lead technical initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive the development of scalable data integration solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise ETL processes and data integration solutions. Create and support System of Record (SOR) data structures and data pipelines.

Perform data validation, transformation, cleansing, and reconciliation activities. Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects. Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and application teams to gather and translate data requirements into technical solutions.

Lead data engineering efforts and provide technical guidance to team members. Troubleshoot and resolve data quality, performance, and integration issues. Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and development best practices.

Support production deployments and ongoing enhancements to data platforms. Required Qualifications 6-8 years of professional software or data engineering experience, including experience operating at a Lead Engineer level. 6+ years of hands-on experience with: SQL development and database design ETL development and support Data integration and data validation processes Building and maintaining System of Record (SOR) solutions Strong experience developing applications and services using .NET technologies

Proven ability to design scalable and maintainable data solutions. Experience working in Agile development environments. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Python for data engineering, automation, or scripting. Experience with C# development.

Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architecture concepts. Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior engineers.
