Our high-volume 24-hour Emergency Veterinary and Specialty Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician Specialist

VetMED has been a leader in providing the Valley's veterinary Specialty, Emergency and Critical Care Services. We operate 24-hours a day, seven days a week to provide comprehensive and compassionate emergency and critical care for animals.

Compensation:
  • $35.00-48.00 per hour

  • VTS will have the opportunity to manage a diverse range of critical cases, including but not limited to mechanical ventilation, multi-trauma stabilization, and high-flow oxygen therapy.
  • VTS will play an integral role in creating standard operating procedures and will be encouraged and supported to share their knowledge in creating the best possible medicine and setting standards for our patients across ER, Specialty and Critical Care teams.

About You:
  • You are a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT) with VTS credentialing
  • Experience in overseeing and managing workflow for critical care patients.

  • You understand the importance of maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people that share that same value
  • You are dedicated to taking a hands-on approach to the development of team members & are extremely focused on excellent patient care.
  • You will actively engage and play a role in patient rounds with our Veterinarians
  • You enjoy sharing your passion and knowledge for your specialty and encourage others around you to become passionate

Additional Job Duties:
  • Partner with our Clinical Manager and Training Coordinator to create robust training programs within your specialty
  • Create and teach courses for our team and our community.
  • Help our technical team learn about advanced skill sets and career growth
