Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs for civil and commercial concrete projects.

  • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for concrete, formwork, rebar, sitework, and related construction activities.

  • Review construction drawings, specifications, plans, and bid documents to determine project scope.

  • Prepare competitive and comprehensive bid proposals and bid packages.

  • Solicit, review, and compare pricing from vendors and subcontractors.

  • Assist with negotiations and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.

  • Use construction estimating software and spreadsheets to develop and maintain accurate estimates.

  • Track bid information, costs, and project data using estimating and construction management systems.

  • Collaborate with project managers, field operations, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Support the transition of awarded projects from estimating/preconstruction to project execution.

  • Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably in civil, heavy civil, or commercial concrete construction.

  • Strong understanding of concrete construction and self-performed concrete work.
