What does it mean to rent an esthetician room?

Renting an esthetician room means leasing a private or semi-private space within a salon, spa, or wellness center where you can provide skincare and beauty services to your clients. This arrangement allows estheticians to operate their own business independently, set their own hours, and manage their client base, while paying a fixed rent to the facility owner. Amenities such as equipment, utilities, and reception services may be included, but terms vary by location. It's a popular option for licensed estheticians seeking more control and flexibility compared to traditional employment.

What should I consider when renting a room as an esthetician in a salon or spa environment?

When renting a room as an esthetician, it's important to evaluate the amenities provided (such as utilities, laundry, and reception services), the terms of the lease, and the salon or spa's clientele. Consider how much autonomy you'll have over your schedule, marketing, and product choice, as these factors affect your business growth. Additionally, assess the environment for its professionalism, cleanliness, and the potential for collaboration or referrals from other practitioners. Open communication with the owner and understanding the expectations around shared spaces can help ensure a successful rental experience.

Job description

Benefits:
  • Wellness resources
  • Health insurance
  • Opportunity for advancement

Why Restore?
At Restore Hyper Wellness in Clearwater/Seminole, esthetics isn't a back-room service - it's a core part of how we serve our members. You'll work alongside a front-of-house team, engage with studio members who haven't yet discovered our skin services, and play an active role in growing that side of the business. If you're an esthetician who loves the craft and loves the energy of a busy wellness studio, this is the role for you.
This is not a heads-down, close-the-door position. It's for someone who lights up when they can introduce a member to a treatment that changes how they feel about their skin - and then follows up to make sure it sticks.
What you'll do
  • Deliver personalized skin consultations and perform advanced esthetic services including Hydrafacial and Neveskin (formerly Cryoskin)
  • Proactively engage with studio members who aren't yet using skin services - starting conversations, offering mini consultations, and converting interest into bookings
  • Reach out to leads and lapsed clients via phone, text, and email to drive appointments
  • Work the front desk during white space - checking members in, giving studio tours, supporting the team
  • Recommend retail products and cross-sell Restore therapies as a natural extension of every client interaction
  • Contribute to promotions, membership growth, and community outreach initiatives

What we offer
  • $18-$25/hr base plus performance bonuses
  • Health insurance for full-time employees
  • Opportunity for advancement within a growing national brand
  • Complimentary and discounted Restore wellness services for all staff

What we're looking for
  • Active Florida esthetician license (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of professional esthetics experience
  • A genuine comfort with sales, outreach, and starting conversations with people you don't know yet
  • Team-first attitude - you're as happy at the front desk as you are in the treatment room
  • Availability to work weekends
  • Located near Clearwater
  • Hydrafacial or Neveskin certification a plus - willing to support certification for the right candidate

Who thrives here
You've built your own clientele before, or you've worked somewhere that expected you to. You don't wait for the book to fill itself. You see a member hanging out in the lobby and you think that's an opportunity - not that's not my job. You're comfortable picking up the phone, sending a follow-up text, and being part of a team that holds each other accountable.
If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you.
A note on our application
We include a few short questions to get to know you before we reach out. There are no trick questions - we just want to hear how you think and work. Most applicants answer in 3-5 sentences per question.
Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
