A confidential opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Real Estate Associate to join the Atlanta office of a highly regarded Am Law 200 firm.
The practice advises developers, property owners, investors and other sophisticated market participants on complex acquisitions, dispositions, financings and development projects. The successful attorney will receive meaningful client exposure and genuine responsibility, with the scope of the role tailored to their level of experience.
The opportunity is open to associates with approximately 1โ5 years of relevant experience, including junior candidates seeking stronger transactional foundations and mid-level attorneys capable of independently driving matters forward.
The Role
You will advise clients across a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including:
- Acquisitions and dispositions of commercial property.
- Real estate financing transactions.
- Development and redevelopment projects.
- Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, leases and ancillary agreements.
- Reviewing title, surveys, leases and other due diligence materials.
- Identifying and resolving title, survey and transactional issues.
- Coordinating deal teams, third parties and closing requirements.
- Managing transactions from initial term sheet through closing, where appropriate.
- Working directly with developers, owners, investors and other sophisticated clients.
Junior Associates: 1โ2 Years
Junior candidates should have foundational exposure to commercial real estate matters and will support experienced attorneys across each stage of a transaction.
Responsibilities are likely to include:
- Assisting with title, survey and lease review.
- Preparing due diligence summaries and transaction checklists.
- Drafting ancillary agreements, certificates and closing documents.
- Coordinating signatures, deliverables and closing logistics.
- Taking on increasing drafting and client responsibility as experience develops.
Mid-Level Associates: 3โ5 Years
Mid-level candidates should possess substantive commercial real estate experience and be comfortable taking a leading role on transactions.
Responsibilities are likely to include:
- Drafting and negotiating principal transaction documents.
- Managing deals from term sheet through closing.
- Serving as a primary point of contact for clients and opposing counsel.
- Resolving title, survey, financing and other due diligence issues.

About You
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
- Approximately 1โ5 years of commercial real estate experience.
- Admission to the Georgia Bar, or the ability to become admitted promptly.
- Experience gained within a recognised real estate or transactional practice.
- Strong drafting, analytical and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and transaction-management abilities.
- The ability to prioritise competing deadlines across multiple active matters.
- A commercial and client-focused approach.
- The confidence to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated base compensation is approximately $190,000โ$310,000, depending on class year, relevant experience and the strength of the candidateโs commercial real estate background, with additional bonus potential.
