Job Description

The goal of the ACC Network team at Virginia Tech is to develop and execute the best possible broadcasts of Virginia Tech athletics for use on various ESPN platforms throughout the season. In this role the Assistant Director / ACC Network would be a part of these broadcasts in various capacities depending on the requirements of the broadcast. The position reports to the Sr. Director / ACC Network and works with the rest of the ACC Network staff as well as HokieVision staff to achieve the goals that are set by the department. Additionally, this role would serve as the representative for the ACC Network on certain sports intradepartmental meetings to help deliver and disseminate relevant information to other parts of the Athletics Department at Virginia Tech.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field with relevant experience, or a master's degree.
Experience working in live sports broadcast control room setting.
Previous work in various roles for a live broadcast.
Experience using Adobe Suite including Photoshop & Premiere or similar products.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
Firsthand familiarity with ESPN broadcast standards and practices.
Experience working with students.
Being able to work independently as well as a part of a team.
Previous work with Ross Acuity Switcher/Xpression and/or Evertz Dreamcatcher.
Experience shooting interviews and b-roll for features.
