The Esophagus is a part of the human anatomy, specifically a muscular tube that connects the throat to the stomach. A Gastroenterologist is a medical doctor specializing in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the digestive system, including the esophagus. While the Esophagus is a body part, a Gastroenterologist is a healthcare professional who may perform procedures like endoscopies to examine the esophagus. The two are related but serve different roles: one is an organ, the other a specialist in digestive health.
