Metal Deco Plate Engraver

We Design, Optimize and Protect Brands. Our clients are primarily consumer products companies and printers and we help them by delivering a broad range of services from brand strategy and packaging design, to adaptive design across various print and digital platforms, all the way to color management and the production of printing plates. With our world headquarters located in Cincinnati, we have over 450 employees throughout the United States and offices in Europe and Asia.
The Metal Deco Plate Engraver is responsible for producing high-quality metal-backed polymer printing plates used in the metal decorating industry. This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work with specialized plate-making equipment and Esko software. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a production environment, standing for extended periods, and ensuring all plates meet customer specifications and production requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
  • Produce metal-backed polymer printing plates according to customer and production specifications
  • Operate and maintain plate-making equipment throughout the engraving and production process
  • Utilize Esko software to prepare, process, and manage plate production files
  • Inspect plates for accuracy, quality, and consistency before release to production
  • Maintain production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of plates to internal and external customers
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain quality standards
  • Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures while working in the production environment
  • Collaborate with prepress, graphics, and production teams to ensure customer expectations are met
Qualifications Include:
  • Previous experience in platemaking, printing, prepress, or related manufacturing environments preferred
  • Experience with Esko software is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to read and follow job specifications and production instructions
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate production equipment safely and efficiently
