Job description

THOR Solutions is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior-Level Financial Analyst with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP) experience to support a program for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) in Middletown, RI. The candidate will provide financial analysis and management support, and associated project management services for NUWC Code 25. An ideal candidate will have experience supporting Navy/DoD customers and using the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP) system. Typical responsibilities include: * Use, update, and maintain Navy, NAVSEA, and NUWC financial systems including Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP), Automated Funding Document Acceptance (AFDA), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), and Resource Allocation Planning Tool (RAPT).
* Develop and maintain project budgets, reports and management plans, and track projections within Navy ERP and other systems. Prepare analyses of Reimbursable Authority and Carryover projections. Provide impact analysis related to Program Budgets and Project Plans baselines.
* Prepare, review, and analyze Funding Documents.
* Prepare weekly expenditure reports, fiscal year close-out and fiscal year start-up analyses, analysis of Continuing Resolution (CR) scenario-based impacts, and financial management reports associated with the operation of Service Cost Centers (SCC).
* Research, identify, and provide recommended corrective actions associated with rejected or suspense financial transaction records.
* Update Resource Allocation Planning Tool (RAPT) program data consisting of program labor and non-labor budgets, resource staffing and non-labor plans.
* Support general project management functions, including: generating project meeting documents; supporting updates in the Defense Travel System (DTS); entering visit requests in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS); and reviewing timekeeping data in Navy ERP.
Location: Full time onsite at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) in Middletown, RI. Typical Physical Activity: Primarily desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion. Typical Pay Range: The anticipated pay for this position in the identified location(s) is $75,000 - 90,000/year. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience. Existing SECRET Security Clearance Required: This position requires an existing active or interim Secret security clearance prior to hire. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance; therefore, only current U.S. citizens will be considered for this position.
* A candidate with especially strong, relevant experience but no current clearance may be considered, but a new clearance must be obtained prior to hire.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related business or technical field.
* In lieu of a Bachelors degree, additional relevant experience and/or relevant financial/accounting training or certifications may be considered.
* Seven (7) to ten (10) years of recent, relevant professional experience providing financial support services in U.S. Navy/NAVSEA/DoD environments.
* Strong proficiency with the Navy ERP system.
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
* Proficiency with common productivity software, including the Microsoft Office suite.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
Additional Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Prior experience with Automated Funding Document Acceptance (AFDA), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), or Resource Allocation Planning Tool (RAPT).
