We're seeking an experienced Crew Leader to supervise a 3–4 person erosion control crew. This position requires someone who leads by example, operates equipment safely, and ensures projects are completed on time while maintaining compliance with municipal and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a 3–4 person field crew
- Install erosion control Best Management Practices (BMPs), including:
- Silt fence
- Straw blankets
- Wattles
- Inlet protection
- Operate a skid steer safely and efficiently
- Perform street sweeping and jobsite cleanup
- Ensure jobs remain in compliance with city, county, and state requirements
- Read plans and communicate project expectations to crew members
- Maintain equipment and complete daily inspections
- Coordinate with project managers and inspectors
- Promote a safe, productive work environment
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Experience operating a skid steer
- Previous erosion control or construction experience
- Leadership experience supervising field crews
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Dependable and safety-minded
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with municipal erosion control standards
- CDL (preferred but not required)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred)
