We provide innovative financial solutions through our Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Futures and Advanced Clearing & Prime Services divisions. Headquartered in Los Angeles, California with over 100 offices and more than 80 correspondent offices, our commitment to providing relentless, customized service is the foundation of our consistent growth.

Build Your Book. Own Your Upside. Lead the Tech Trade.

We are one of the nation's most respected securities firms and investment banks, with over a 70-year track record of excellence, 100 offices nationwide, and a Capital Markets platform that punches well above its weight. Now, we are aggressively expanding our Equity Trading presence in New York City, and we are looking for a Managing Director, Equity Trading focusing on the Technology Sector who is ready to dominate.

This is not a seat-warmer role. This is a premier, high-compensation opportunity for an elite institutional professional with deep Technology sector expertise, an established client network, and the hunger to build something exceptional, on a platform that rewards you for it. We are seeking a High touch Tech focused Position Trader within our growing Global Equities platform. The role sits within an established team and comes as the high touch business continues to see strong growth within the Technology sector, supported by a well-regarded Wedbush research product

Why Wedbush?

Most firms ask you to fit into their box. We hand you the keys and get out of your way.

At Wedbush, you will find the rare combination of boutique agility and major-firm firepower; along with deep research capabilities, robust corporate access, and the institutional infrastructure to compete with the biggest names on the Street, without the bureaucratic drag that slows them down.

  • You own your book and you share meaningfully in the upside you generate
  • Unparalleled autonomy with an entrepreneurial structure and firm-wide resources behind you
  • Elite Technology research, as Wedbush's TMT franchise is nationally recognized and consistently ranked
  • Deep corporate access, conferences, NDRs, and bespoke C-suite meetings at the highest level
  • Performance-first culture where top producers are celebrated, compensated, and empowered here

The Opportunity

As Managing Director, Equity Trading - Technology Sector, you will be the tip of the spear for Wedbush's Technology equity franchise in New York. You will drive institutional trading relationships, generate revenue across our Capital Markets platform, and leverage our world-class Technology research to deliver alpha-generating ideas and differentiated market insights to the most sophisticated investors in the world.

This is your platform. Build it.

What You'll Do

  • Originate, grow, and monetize high-value institutional trading relationships across hedge funds, mutual funds, and asset managers; with a specific focus on Technology sector mandates (TMT/TMS)
  • Deliver differentiated, actionable investment ideas backed by Wedbush's highly regarded Technology research franchise
  • Drive revenue growth through active equity trading, block facilitation, and flow monetization
  • Partner with research analysts, investment bankers, and sales professionals to deliver fully integrated, high-impact client solutions
  • Leverage CRM, Bloomberg, and analytics platforms to proactively manage your pipeline, track performance, and identify emerging revenue opportunities

Represent Wedbush's brand with the professionalism, credibility, and market authority that top-tier institutional clients demand

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; MBA or CFA a distinction
  • 10+ years of institutional equity experience, with demonstrated expertise in the Technology sector (TMT/TMS strongly preferred)
  • A proven, portable book of institutional relationships with hedge funds, mutual funds, asset managers, and beyond
  • A verifiable production track record with measurable revenue attribution
  • Deep command of Technology sector dynamics; including semiconductors and software to AI, cloud infrastructure, and emerging tech
  • Expert proficiency in Bloomberg, Thomson Eikon, and Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint at an elite level)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, from written, verbal, and in the room with the world's most discerning institutional investors
  • Series 7, 57, and 63 licenses (or equivalent); additional licenses a plus

Benefits:

What Wedbush Offers You

  • 401(k) plan with discretionary, competitive company matching and profit-sharing contributions
  • Tuition reimbursement up to $5,250/year
  • 3 weeks of Paid Time Off
