Job description

• Map and tier sponsor books based on Stuut’s thesis and portfolio companies’ order-to-cash pain
• Find operating partners, portfolio operations leads, portfolio-company CFOs, or Controllers who own the problem
• Write and send cold email, LinkedIn, and warm-path outreach
• Book and prepare first meetings for the PE Partnerships Lead with written sponsor, portfolio-company thesis, and angle briefs
• Run first meetings independently as ramping progresses
• Own HubSpot hygiene for the private equity channel, including firm records, portfolio-company associations, deal-sourcing attribution, and stage tracking
• Build a repeatable portfolio research engine, including AI-assisted workflows and automation
• Conduct account and portfolio research for live deals, sponsor meetings, and conference preparation
• Identify and communicate patterns in sponsor conversion, portfolio-company profiles, and effective outreach angles

Requirements
  • Have roughly 1 to 3 years in private equity deal sourcing or business development, investment banking, transaction services, or selling into the sponsor community
  • Understand fund structures, hold periods, value creation plans, and sponsor-to-portco dynamics well enough to hold a five-minute conversation with an operating partner without bluffing
  • Can read a portfolio page and form a fast, defensible view on which three companies have the problem Stuut solves, and say why
  • Write well: short, specific, no padding
  • Genuinely comfortable with rejection at volume
  • AI-native; already use AI to compress research and prefer building workflows over repeating tasks
  • Want to learn commercial skills, take coaching directly, and be honest about what you don’t know yet
  • Live Stuut’s core values: Face the Bear, Think Independently, Hard Work Creates Room, and Stand In Front Of The Truck For Your Customer
Core Competencies

Demonstrates expertise in private equity deal sourcing and business development, with strong capabilities in portfolio research, outreach strategies, and effective communication. Proficient in utilizing AI for workflow automation and research efficiency while maintaining a focus on relationship-building within the sponsor community.
