We're currently looking for a Manager, Accounting Execution to join our Accounting & Financial Operations team in New York, NY. This is a cornerstone role in DLA's newly formed Accounting Execution group, offering a rare opportunity to shape both client engagements and the culture of a growing practice.
What You'll Do
You'll lead interim accounting engagements end-to-end at clients navigating transactions, transitions, and operational complexity. Your day-to-day may include:
  • Owning engagement delivery from scoping through completion - workstreams, timelines, and quality
  • Serving as the primary client contact for CFO- and Controller-level stakeholders, building trusted advisor relationships
  • Overseeing close process management, financial statement preparation, technical accounting analysis, and external audit coordination
  • Directing, coaching, and developing a team of Seniors and Associates
  • Participating in recruiting, business development, and internal firm-building initiatives

What You'll Bring
We know great team members come from all kinds of backgrounds. Some things we typically look for:
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience; Big 4 or large national firm background strongly preferred
  • CPA required or actively in process; CPA licensure strongly preferred
  • Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge with hands-on experience managing complex accounting matters
  • Demonstrated experience running engagements or managing accounting functions independently
  • Prior experience in PE-backed, private equity portfolio company, or transaction-driven environments (carve-outs, integrations, restatements, IPO readiness) strongly preferred
  • Proven supervisory skills and the ability to develop junior team members effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with senior client stakeholders
