Equine Veterinarians often encounter challenging situations such as handling unpredictable or nervous horses, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and managing physically demanding tasks like restraining or examining large animals. Effective communication with horse owners and stable staff is essential to ensure animal cooperation and safety. To address these challenges, veterinarians rely on strong animal handling skills, safety protocols, and sometimes sedation or the assistance of trained handlers. Building trust with both the animals and their owners can greatly improve the efficiency and safety of veterinary procedures.
