Job description

Job Title: Mechanical Technician
Location: Vernal, UT 84078
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $24.00 - $26.00/hr on W2

Job Summary
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and maintaining oilfield equipment while ensuring quality, safety, and operational efficiency. Candidates should have hands-on experience with production tree assembly, valve assembly, and equipment testing in an oil & gas environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform production tree and valve assembly.
  • Conduct equipment and valve testing using test pumps.
  • Utilize torque tools during assembly and maintenance activities.
  • Assist with painting and finishing processes as needed.
  • Follow maintenance procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability efforts.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience (5+ years preferred).
  • Experience with:
    • Production tree assembly
    • Valve assembly and testing
    • Torque tools and test pumps
    • Oil & gas equipment
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Skills
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to lift 40–50 lbs regularly.
Schedule
  • Typically 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • 10–12 hour shifts.
  • 50–60 hours per week, including at least one weekend day.
  • Overtime available.
Additional Information
  • Strong preference for local candidates within one hour of Vernal, UT.
  • Training provided in Kellyville, OK.
  • PPE provided by the company.
