To pursue project and clientdevelopment in the Sept-Iles region, BBA wants to bolster its local multidisciplinaryteam. Working closely with our offices in Labrador City, Montreal andMont-Saint-Hilaire, this team is actively involved in developing the Sept-Ilesregion and in executing various projects in the mining and metals, and energysectors. BBA's electrical engineering teams stand out among Cote-Nord clientsbecause of their cutting-edge technical expertise. This expertise is combinedwith an unrivalled commitment and understanding of the issues involved inoperating and maintaining industrial power systems. 

By joining our team, you'll have theopportunity to assist our industrial clients in the energy and mining marketswith their operations and their maintenance or growth projects. In morepractical terms, you'll be called upon to perform site surveys and tests on high- and medium-voltage electrical equipment, as well as participate in thecommissioning of new equipment and systems. You'll also have the opportunity tohelp with various stages in project execution. What's more, you'll be responsiblefor ensuring quality professional services and for maintaining strong clientrelationships.

  • Assist our industrial clients in their day-to-day operations in the field: troubleshooting, root cause analysis, staff training, shutdown planning and asset management
  • Perform site surveys
  • Participate in equipment testing and commissioning
  • Perform short-circuit, power flow, protection coordination, arc-flash hazard studies and harmonic content analyses as well as steady-state and transient analyses in industrial power systems
  • Design and read various types of electrical drawings
  • Draft technical documents, calculation notes, specifications and reports
  • Attend internal or client coordination meetings
  • Participate in project management (costs, schedules, labour, etc.)
