We are currently recruitingforHeavy Equipment Service Truck Mechanic for project work to expand our team in Westlock AB.

TheHeavy Equipment Service Truck Mechanicis responsible in to inspecting, servicing, and maintaining our range of heavy-duty equipment. As a Heavy Equipment Service Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for driving to the job site, inspecting equipment, carrying out services, conducting repairs, and providing routine maintenance to a diversified fleet. Some travel to remote work sites may be for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities:


  • Driving to various job sites.

  • Inspecting trucks, trailers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.

  • Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.

  • Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.

  • Repairing damaged equipment parts.

  • Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty and automotive vehicles.

  • Repair and service machine attachments.

  • Performing major repair work when necessary.

  • Consulting with other Mechanics and Supervisor when needed.

Desired skills and Experience:


  • Red Seal Trade Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

  • Proven work experience with diesel or heavy equipment.

  • Understanding of computer testing technologies.

  • Extensive knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic & electrical systems, and construction equipment.

  • Ability to work after-hours if required.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Must have at least a Class 5 drivers license.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
