Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Print Technical Manager - Flexography & Color Management

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Print Quality

  • Own and manage the Print Quality Management (PQM) process, including reporting and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of design, photography, artwork, and repro production processes

  • Ensure all technical standards, specifications, and workflows are consistently followed across production

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Project Management, Design, and Studio teams to improve workflows, efficiencies, and output quality

  • Attend design reviews and provide expert guidance on print feasibility and solutions

  • Review design handovers to ensure alignment with technical specifications and production requirements

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, printers, and internal global teams

  • Serve as the primary technical contact in client meetings related to print production and quality

  • Collaborate with global teams (Europe and Asia Pacific) to ensure alignment in processes and standards

Process & Systems Management

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive printer specification database

  • Oversee Epson/GMG color management systems and profile controls

  • Manage press-passing activities, including approvals and cost tracking

Reporting & Communication

  • Generate and deliver monthly Print Quality Management reports (including global reporting for Amazon accounts)

  • Ensure clear, consistent communication across all stakeholders throughout project lifecycles

Training & Development

  • Develop and deliver print technical training for internal teams, clients, and suppliers

  • Support onboarding and ongoing development of team members in print processes and best practices

Additional Responsibilities

  • Review proofs, drawdowns, and materials requiring approval prior to production

  • Support UK-based accounts and provide cross-regional coverage as needed

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, risk mitigation, and operational efficiencies

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong background in print production, reprographics, or print technical management

  • Experience working with design teams, agencies, and print vendors

  • Knowledge of color management systems (Epson/GMG preferred)

  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex projects

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
