Job description

We work residential and commercial covering all southern Utah. We install urethane and epoxy coatings on and above grade. Seamlessly waterproofing the substrate to create a non-skid showroom finish on interior floors and exterior concrete and wood. Join our team, and enjoy working with others to resurface substrates.

Must have transportation to go from jobsite to jobsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation: Prepare and clean floors, ensuring proper substrate conditions for epoxy/urethane application. This includes grinding, shot blasting, or diamond polishing as needed.
  • Mixing & Application: Mix and apply epoxy/urethane flooring materials in accordance with specifications, ensuring a smooth, durable finish. Follow all manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Installation: Install various types of flooring systems including decorative and functional epoxy/urethane coatings for commercial, industrial, and residential spaces.
  • Surface Repair: Repair cracks, holes, and imperfections in existing flooring prior to applying coatings.
  • Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to all safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect finished flooring systems for quality, ensuring the installation meets or exceeds client expectations and industry standards.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide professional, courteous service when interacting with clients. Address any concerns or requests promptly.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of various flooring systems and materials, including epoxy, urethane, and related products.
  • Ability to work with power tools, grinders, and other specialized equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality results.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods and lift heavy materials when necessary.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an epoxy/urethane flooring installer, or experience in a similar trade (e.g., concrete finishing, general flooring installation).
  • Certification or training in flooring installation (e.g., from a recognized industry organization).
  • Experience with decorative flooring techniques, such as metallics, chip systems, and urethane coating
  • Familiarity with basic construction and renovation practices.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Looking for a trainable people that has skills in flooring, painting, stucco or concrete, power washing or other construction experience
  • Someone who's willing to be trained and is meticulous to detail to be trained as a coatings installer

Compensation:

  • Compensation is based on experience $18-$25 (this is 100% contingent on the skills you bring to the table)
  • Pay for 1 hour of travel if you're outside the working area. This must be notated beforehand
  • Signing Bonus is eligible after 90 days and will be paid after 12 months of continuous employment (this is 100% contingent on the skills you bring to the table)
  • $18-$25 is not the top out range. When you become a fully trained installer, you are very valuable to the company as an independent employee and will be compensated accordingly.

Schedule:

  • We split our year, half in St. George, UT and the other in Cedar City and surrounding areas.
  • Consistent, 12 months a year of work, 80 hours
  • First few weeks are a break in period but after you master some skills that's when the hours roll in
  • Hours will vary from day to day as in any other construction based employment
  • Weather can affect hours
  • Eligible during open enrollment for medical. It will be at your own cost but you can access at a more favorable rate through our business.
