Job description

Pediatric Neurology Epileptologist

Division of Pediatric Neurology at the University of Utah School of Medicine seeks a Pediatric Epileptologist. The physician will provide high‑level care, including attending on the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, staffing the outpatient Complex Epilepsy Clinic, and providing comprehensive EEG reading services (including surgical epilepsy). Clinical duties will comprise ~85% of the individual's time commitment, primarily at Primary Children’s Hospital and Primary Children’s Eccles Outpatient Building in Salt Lake City, UT.

Responsibilities
  • Attend Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and Complex Epilepsy Clinic
  • Provide comprehensive EEG reading services
  • Participate in active research and scholarly activity
  • Oversee trainees (pediatric epilepsy fellowship, child neurology trainees, clinical neurophysiology fellows)
  • Engage in a component of general child neurology
Qualifications
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics and Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology
  • Subspecialty training in pediatric epilepsy required
  • Epilepsy fellowship training and board certification required
