Description

In this role, you’ll partner closely with operations and clinical teams to support Epic adoption, workflow improvement, and use of clinical technology. Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Providing one-on-one and group coaching to clinicians on EpicCare Ambulatory and related clinical technologies
  • Facilitating classroom and group training sessions for new and existing nurses and providers
  • Assessing knowledge gaps and clinical workflows, and implementing targeted learning and improvement interventions to improve efficiency and reduce administrative burden
  • Evaluating clinical workflows and providing recommendations to improve efficiency and alignment with Epic and other clinical systems
  • Developing and maintaining clear, practical training materials and resources
  • Monitoring progress and sharing recommendations with clinical leaders and stakeholders
  • Supporting adoption of Epic and related clinical technologies within assigned clinical areas
  • Building and maintaining working relationships with clinical teams
  • Maintaining working knowledge of Epic functionality and clinical workflows

This is not a purely classroom-based training role. You’ll spend a significant amount of time working directly with clinicians in real-world settings, helping identify and solve day-to-day workflow challenges as they arise.

Education

  • Current EpicCare Ambulatory Certification or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire. AND
  • Graduate from an accredited school for licensed practical nursing and possession of State Licensed Practical Nurse license -OR- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possession of State Registered Nurse license. (required to understand clinical workflows and effectively coach clinicians)
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in an ambulatory setting
  • Experience training, coaching, or supporting adult learners with varying levels of technical proficiency

Days: Monday - Friday. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to support training project needs.

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Experience working directly with providers and clinical staff in a collaborative environment
  • Experience building rapport and trust with clinicians through consistent communication and follow-through
  • Experience supporting workflow improvements or practice changes in a clinical setting
  • Experience supporting clinical teams through system and workflow changes
