JOB SUMMARY
The Epic Radiant Application Analyst works closely with clinical, administrative, and technical teams to support and enhance the Epic Radiant application. Drawing on expertise in clinical and business operations, radiology workflows, and patient-centered care, the analyst applies strong critical thinking and organizational skills to design, coordinate, evaluate, and optimize system functionality. Key responsibilities include requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, modifications, implementation, and ongoing support.
The Certified Epic Radiant Application Analyst contributes specialized operational expertise and collaborates with cross-application peers and departmental leadership to achieve goals related to the development, optimization, and support of the Epic Radiant application.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4 years of related clinical, operational, or application experience in a healthcare environment.
Licensure: Credentials to practice as a radiologic technologist are required. Epic Certification is required (may hire into position without certification but must attain certification within first 45 days of HHCS-sponsored Epic training to continue employment).
Experience: Two (2+) years of applicable IT or clinical experience. One (1+) year of Hospital/Health Care organizational experience.

  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and service-focused professional who works effectively in a collaborative team environment. Demonstrates strong prioritization skills, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and the capacity to provide creative and effective leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong problem-solving, organizational, and technical abilities, including solid PC proficiency.
  • Strong technical and functional understanding of integrated hospital, clinic, and imaging information systems, enabling effective collaboration and credibility with Hamilton Health Care System (HHCS) leadership, clinical end users, team members, vendors, and consultants.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiology and imaging workflows, including scheduling, orders, exam performance, results routing, charging, and downstream integration with ancillary systems.
  • Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes, resolve complex system issues, and implement workflow and system optimization strategies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with applicable industry code sets, concepts, practices, and procedures related to radiology and healthcare IT. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and achieve objectives, performs complex tasks, and may lead or direct the work of others while adhering to established standards.
  • Recognized as a contributor or subject matter expert capable of providing consultation on complex initiatives, participating in project planning and implementation, and driving deliverables to successful completion.
  • Working knowledge of administrative, operational, and clinical processes within supported imaging and diagnostic areas, with the ability to identify, justify, and implement automation, optimization, and system enhancement opportunities.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, third-party vendors, and consultants while maintaining a strong focus on customer service, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
