What You'll Do
Patient Care & Imaging Services

  • Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography proceduresin accordance withphysician orders and established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Position patients appropriately to obtainoptimaldiagnostic images while minimizing discomfort.
  • Review images for quality, accuracy, and completeness prior to submission for interpretation.
Clinical Excellence & Compliance
  • Adhere to MQSA, ACR, state, and federal regulations governing mammography services.
  • Maintain radiation safety standards and ensure proper use of imaging equipment.
  • Follow infection prevention and control protocols.
  • Accurately document procedures and patient information within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and imaging systems.
Equipment & Quality Assurance
  • Perform routine quality control testing and equipment checks asrequired.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate service when necessary.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and accreditation activities.
Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with radiologists, providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional service.
  • Assistwith scheduling, patient follow-up, and other operational needs asrequired.
  • Support a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
What You Bring
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • ARRT Mammography Certification [ARRT(M)]required.
  • Current Michigan Radiologic Technologist credentials, where applicable.
  • Current BLS certificationpreferred.
  • Minimum one year of mammography experience preferred; new graduates with mammography training are encouraged to apply.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong patient care and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to image quality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability tomaintainpatient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with digital mammography, 3D mammography (tomosynthesis), and breast imaging technology.
  • Experience in outpatient imaging, women's health, primary care, or multispecialty clinic settings.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
