Epic Professional Billing (PB) Analyst

Location: Fully Remote

Duration: Contract

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Epic Professional Billing (PB) Analyst to join their Revenue Cycle team supporting large-scale financial initiatives and complex system dependencies. This position is a backfill for a team member who transitioned internally and will play a critical role in ensuring accurate charge routing, financial integrity, and ongoing support of Professional Billing operations.

The team currently consists of 11 analysts supporting Epic PB, PB Claims, Community Connect clients, and several integrated vendor applications. The selected consultant will help support and expand the organization's Professional Billing footprint while contributing to high-impact projects involving financial workflows and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Epic Professional Billing (PB) operations, enhancements, and optimization efforts.
  • Manage and maintain charge routing workflows to ensure accurate billing and revenue capture.
  • Provide support for financial integrations and workflows involving:
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Single Billing Office (SBO)
    • Financial systems
    • Patient estimates and related billing processes
  • Assist with Community Connect Professional Billing support and ongoing client needs.
  • Collaborate with operational and technical stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
  • Participate in large-scale projects involving financial system dependencies, cutovers, and application upgrades.
  • Analyze workflows and recommend process improvements that enhance billing accuracy and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • Epic Professional Billing (PB) Certification required.
  • Strong experience supporting Epic PB workflows in a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of General Ledger (GL) processes and financial system integrations.
  • Experience working with SBO (Single Billing Office) workflows.
  • Understanding of patient estimates and revenue cycle processes.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Epic Charge Router configuration and support.
  • Community Connect support experience.
  • PB Claims experience.
  • Experience supporting complex healthcare revenue cycle projects and financial system dependencies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
